FILM MAKING

 PREP Write about the film making that you have done over the last two weeks. Add photos to support and illustrate your post.

Paragraph 1: Your production company logo

Write about how you made it, explaining the process and referring to the equipment - the Hue camera, the Mac,  the name of your Production Company, the sound effects.

Write about the filming. Explain some of the items that you had on the table and how you handled the camera. Explain what you wanted the audience to focus on (if you paused to make them look at anything in particular).

Paragraph 5: Your view

To create our production company logo we took a picture of a red beret and red gloves, the same ones used in our film, using the hue camera that was plugged into our mac-book. After the picture was taken we used photobooth to to put a filter onto the photo, enhancing the colours and making it look more professional. The last step was adding the name of our production company "Indigo Studious" using Imovie and adding it to our film. We also had a second production company and a logo to go with it. Our second production company was called "Speed Media" and we used a hue camera plugged into out mac to create a stop motion picture of a toy car racing around a piece of paper that read "Speed Media" Next we used Imovie to add the sound of a racing car and screeching tires before adding it to our film.

For out table top filming we first placed a large piece of black cloth over three tables, we then started adding various objects (News papers, money, passports, photos of girls, a brief case with more papers and pictures inside and a map) All these objects linked to a murder mystery theme, immediately setting the tone for our film. We film theses objects by hovering the camera over the table, zooming in on important items such as: The news headline that read "Two Gone Missing", a news paper article that read "Blood Bath", pictures of young girls, a brief case being opened, money covered in blood being placed onto the table as we filmed and lastly we zoomed into a candle and had Audrey blow it out, zooming further into the smoke.  

After filming and editing the table top opening we then filmed our live action scenes. Firstly we chose Emily and Eloise to be our actors and then chose their costumes. Emily was dressed in her red school jumper, a red beret, a red scarf and a red pair of gloves while Eloise was simply wrapped in a shawl. We decided to film our first scene in the tunnel, with Emily and Eloise behind the closed tunnel door and filming them through the two barred windows. In our scene we see Emily shooting a scared looking Eloise before following Emily as she steps over Eloise's body as if nothing happened, this set up Emily as the evil killer of our story. The second scene we chose to film in the forest, with Audrey and Emily as out actors. First, we showed Audrey walking up the hill through the forest, then we saw Emily following after. Having already set Emily up a the evil killer of the film, seeing her follow Audrey into the forest gave the impression that we was killing once more.

We edited everything on Imovie, using sounds from Imovie and downloading some from YouTube. For our "Speed Media" production logo we added the sound of a car driving at a fast speed, which then became tires screeching to a stop at the end. For both the "Indigo Studious" production logo and our table top opening we used the song "We'll Mett Again" by Vera Lynn. Our film titile "The Lady In Red" was displayed on screen at the very start of out table top filming, written in a delicate font and in the colour red, throughout the table top filming we had the names of actors, writers, producer and directors written in white to contrast the black cloth. 

I am very proud of our film opening, my favourite part being the table top opening as I love how clean and polished it came out and the how well the objects we used portrayed the films theme of a murder mystery. I also loved the live action scenes, the first one being my favourite as I think it had a brilliant effect as we never saw the gun Emily used to shoot Eloise or her body fall to the floor, it was all insinuated which I think added to the mysterious theme.
